On the road...

"Take me for a ride!"
(Literally, that is. Please not figuratively..!)

Sat in KY's car again today. I realised last Sunday that she's my first ever classmate who's ever given me a ride in their car~! haha.. not many of my friends drives, I realise.

ahh~ such liberation 'twas to just start the engine and go wherever your heart takes you.. We were going to Sim Lim Square from campus, and KY passed me a street directory booklet to direct her once we hit town. I thought I could read a map, but woah, when on the road, it's tough to look at the signs & buildings around you and identify where exactly and which direction you are going on the map itself..!

Needless to say, we got *kinda* lost.. haha..

Thank God KY was very ok with it.. she even recounted an inccident when she was just driving around for 2 hours cos she didn't know how to get out of the area.. lol.. she was sooooo tempted to park the car by the side of the road and just call her brother to pick her up..! haha..

I think sometimes I enjoy being lost too.
...though perhaps, only for awhile.

Without bearings, without plans, just walking aimlessly around.. carefree, wherever life takes me..

then again, we are the ones who has to choose whether to turn left, or right, straight ahead, or take a step back; to walk, to run, or stand still..
