Saline dello Stagnone

This is the restored windmill at the saltpans, near Marsala. We arrived for the sunset with seconds to spare and had no time to faff around with tripods, just point and shoot and hope that the settings work.
And then relax - this photograph was taken from the terrace at a restaurant, so once we had bagged some images we sat down to a lovely meal and a glass of wine. And, looked out to the silhouette of the windmill in the fading light. Bliss. To cap a perfect evening we were served a complimentary glass of the local Marsala.
