…been to my first brocante of the year. Car boot to you and me.
Set off early with cash in my pocket ready to haggle.
Unsuccessful with some haggling. Such over inflated prices.
Tried to 'bungle'. Still no joy. Their loss not mine. I can take it or leave it.
Ended up buying this old mirror. No beveled edge but definitely old. Snapped his hand off at 15€ (£12). I'll clean it up and spray the frame.
There are three chairs. Old original french garden chairs. Normally really expensive. Prefer the old wooden to the new metal. They get too hot in the sun. He gave me the broken one. Will repair easily. 10€ the pair +1. (£8.30)
Also bought an artichoke plant. Most expensive buy of the day. 4 different varieties of tomatoes, and two chillies. Though which one is which? I have no idea. Ha Ha.
Looks like I have a bit of 'tatting' to do.
