Sometimes life is better in monochrome

Took a walk at lunch in order to get some photos for today - light was horribly harsh and not too many interesting subjects. I was about to turn back when I came upon these succulents. They were very colorful and I fully expected to post this in color but as it happens sometimes, I found I was drawn much more to this B&W version.
