Sally And The Vet

Sometimes I feel like I live at the Canine Oncologist's office! Today Sally and I went for a checkup, and here she is with her vet, Dr. O'Keefe. You can tell from the rather desperate look on Sally's face that she really doesn't enjoy being there, despite the fact that her doctor is a very nice, caring lady!

It's a two hour trip from our house to the veterinarian's office, so a full four hours of driving is involved each time we go there (which is once a week). The good news today is that Sally seems to be responding well to the medication she started three weeks ago. It's the last one in the "toxic cocktail" arsenal of chemo drugs available to her, and the only one that's had any effect. Fingers crossed!
