Elelphant hawk moth

Do you remember this fellow? Well we ended up keeping it as it never left the spot we put it in and within a few days had turned into a chrysalis. We put it into a tub and moved it into the shed so that it was protected but not too warm. Once the weather warmed up I brought it into the house and we have waited patiently watching it twitch occasionally. Well this morning it emerged and what a beauty. We were all amazed but the colours of it. This pic is sooc!! I kept it indoors drying off for the day (well away from the pesky kitten!) and then once the rain had stopped and the day was darkening I put it outside onto our bug house where it has remained. Fingers crossed it will be gone by the morning.
