Blue

Yesterday, it was the kids who were a little blue, but today it’s we who suddenly find ourselves sharing an oddly quiet and empty space and are wondering where on earth the last few days went to. We’re also unbelievably exhausted!!

Walking the dog this evening, I came upon some tiny blue flowers improbably growing in a sun-baked patch of sand and thought they would make an appropriate blip. They really were very pretty, but I simply can’t imagine what’s sustaining them.
