Cardinal

This brilliant red fellow is the male northern cardinal, the state bird of Ohio and several other states. He is the male version of this spunky bird.

We didn't get any newly fallen snow today, but tonight we had a fine misty rain that froze on contact with the ground and then some snow on top of that. I had to scrape the ice off my windshield (windscreen) to drive home from choir practice.
