dog park

We are very lucky in Christchurch to have several well fenced parks developed specifically so that dogs can run free.

They are very popular areas with the dogs, they love to play and chase and socialise, and very popular with owners as it is a great place to safely exercise the dogs and to wear them out.

Today at Victoria Park there were no other dogs to play so molly was a bit disappointed. However we did have a long walk up the hill, and plenty of play time for her to run amongst the grasses and checkout all the smells.

I don't know who May Thelma Watkins was, but she obviously had a great affinity for this area as her memorial gate is an entrance to the dog park.
