Messy Play

Messy play really freaks me out in a completely irrational fashion. It stresses me out beyond beliefs, and I generally try to leave it as something the kids do at school/ nursery. The best we do at home is Play Doh or the paddling pool in the garden. My daughter got a magazine this week with a little painting kit on the front and she begged to be allowed to do it. So I took a deep breath, gritted my teeth and set them both up on the kitchen table. Much fun was had by them, and I managed to hold it together until they'd finished :)

I must get some kind of bonus "good Mum points" for that, right?!
