Early morning

Down on the River Ury which is a small river that meets with the River Don in my town before flowing down to the sea in Aberdeen. It has a reputation for trout but not for salmon as they all tend to keep to the Don to continue their travels upstream to spawn.

It amazes me how after many years at sea they find their way back to where they were born That is of course if they do not get caught by the multitude of anglers who line the banks of the Don during the fishing season.
