View over Lake Tekapo from Mt John

It's been a glorious day in South Canterbury today; crisp, clear and very, very pretty.

Whilst in Tekapo, I took the Horomakas (Mrs H and my Mum) up Mount John. Whilst there, we checked the view and grabbed a coffee at the Astro Cafe, up on the summit. It's quite possibly the most amazing view any cafe could have, with its 360 degree view over Lakes Tekapo and Alexandrina, the McKenzie basin and the Southern Alps.

On the way back down the hill I stopped to take this shot. Just breathtaking. As was the cool air!
