Leeds Liverpool Canal

This morning I planned on meeting up with one of my friends who is currently on holiday on a canal barge on the Leeds Liverpool canal.

After driving around for what seemed ages, trying to marry up a map of the canal with a road map and just as I was about to call her and say I've given up, on the road bridge just ahead of me I saw my friend.

The cup of tea on board the 'Somerset' canal barge was very welcome thank you all.

As well as taking some images of the three of them working one of the locks around Blackburn I took this image of the them for posterity.
