Taff Trail

Today's the day ............................ to follow the path

Will was giving a talk this evening in Brecon as part of the Fforest Fawr Geopark Festival.

The talk was all about John Muir, the inspirational naturalist and about how the Trust that was set up in his name goes about the task of promoting his philosophies and protecting wild landscapes in the UK. We had the day to ourselves though before the talk - and it seemed the perfect chance to spend some time in the Brecon Beacons National Park getting to know it a bit better.

We visited the Mountain Centre at Libanus and then walked a bit of the Taff Trail that runs for 55 miles between Cardiff Bay and Brecon. It's called that because it follows the course of the River Taff. There are way-marking posts along its length with the distinctive logo so it's easy to find your way.

We hope to go back and walk a bit more of it ..........................
