Gaudeamus Igitur

Staff process on stage to a fanfare played by the NZSM Orchestra - a piece by Douglas Lilburn which incorporates the tune to the graduation hymn 'Gaudeamus'. This piece is played every year at the Victoria University of Wellington May Graduation Ceremonies. The trumpets add a fantastic sense of occasion to it all.
I spend most of my time backstage for these ceremonies, making sure all the musicians are where they're meant to be, but nipped around for a few shots when I could.
