Up in the air...

That is how today has left us...all up in the air with no proper idea of what happens next! Exciting but a bit scary...as the unknown tends to be.
Hubby had an interview today and they offered him the job. Which is fab. It was meant to be a 6 month post but turns out it is for a year. it is in West Sussex - not Glasgow!
Originally we said if it's for 6 months he can come home every/most weekends but a year is a different story. We did it once before, when the kids were smaller, he had a job in Aberdeen for a year and it was not fun..him up there, us down here. We said we wouldn't do it again, that we'd all stay together. Reality and what you want to happen are not the same though. Sigh...lots of talking and thinking required..and little time to do either.
Argh...my head is messy!

And...it's Friday and...I have finished the only beer in the fridge...and he won't be home till tomorrow night. We shall have champagne to celebrate his achievement but it is a double edged sword...still any excuse to pop a bottle of the fizzy stuff :-)
Sorry for the rant, it helps to scribble it down...I hope.
