Lost in translation
This is one of the water run offs from the mountain, you can tell how dry it has been recently by the lack of water.
The awning is the entrance to a great little tapas restaurant I shall be visiting tomorrow. They have a very lovely chef who speaks enough English to avoid any unwanted dishes. Unlike the place a new friend visited last week.
She and her family are recently arrived in Kobe and finding the language something of a challenge. Drawn in by a recognisable pizza menu they ventured into a local Italian and got a bit of a surprise when their starter of very fresh (ie raw) octopus arrived. Hearing the word 'taco' they assumed it was Mexican tacos not realizing that taco is the Japanese word for... Yes, you guessed it... Octopus!
