The River Frome at Woolbridge Manor, Wool, Dorset

This photo was taken a little upstream from my December photo taken at Wool Bridge. The water is no longer above the banks of the Frome, and there is an extensive network of disused water meadows with their lush vegetation to enjoy on foot. The bright white and pink blossom in the trees beyond is that of the may, or hawthorn.

Woolbridge Manor is seen here from the southwest; the thatched cottage is one of its outbuildings.
