Ready to leave

Yesterday there were four young blackbirds in the nest. Today I’m sure there is only one and that one is ready to leave.

This was High Pike’s blip yesterday – showing what it was that the children were having a peep at. The young ones certainly looked as if they were ready to fly the nest and that’s what they must have done. They will be hiding under some undergrowth at the moment. No wonder both male and female blackbird have been flying around all day, getting very agitated. Here is the female keeping a careful watch out for predators.
