Poppies On The Verge

Went for a long walk today with my daughter's dog and saw this mass of poppies by the roadside. At one time this area was a haven for wildflowers and wildlife, alas now destroyed to make way for yet another large housing estate. It's nice to see that some of the flowers are determined to make themselves seen.
