Long-tailed tits
Another bird blip :)
Another walk along beside the river, feeding the birds. I was delighted to see these little fellows, Long-tailed tits (Aegithalos caudatus rosaceus). They are like little balls of fluff with a streamer flying behind them; you can see the out-of-focus one at the back is about to land upside-down on a twig. They are really acrobatic.
Other highlights were the robin (of course) and seeing one of the mergansers come out of the water really close to me, fighting ducks for food. Some more pictures in the winter birds blipfolio.
