Family Peony again

Feeling very much better today and the sun is shining so I pottered in the garden this morning and chatted to all the neighbours. Our little Park has a great Community spirit and everyone looks out for everyone else without being intrusive, we are lucky to have that.

Had lunch with Mum and her garden is looking excellent! The family peony is still in full bloom with lots of Bees around it. Apparently my Grandfather, on my Dad's side, used to put one of these in his buttonhole! Sadly I never met him as he had died before I was born, but the photos I have seen certainly suggest Dad was a chip of the old block.....although he never put one of these beauties in his buttonhole but then it would have looked very silly on a pair of overalls!!
