A day at Alrewas

At Alrewas there is, of course, the National Memorial Arboretum.
Very moving, emotional and incredibly nostalgic. There are new memorials going up all the time sponsored by associations and organisations.
This group photograph of the visit today by the RAF Masirah and RAF Salalah Oman RAF Veterans Association was taken in the Cenotaph area after our chairman had laid a wreath on behalf of the association.
The Cenotaph area is surrounded by two tiers of walls with thousands of names of UK military personnel killed while on duty since 1949. I was shocked at how many names there were.

Looks like a lot of us are blind but I think it's just the growing popularity of reactive spectacle lenses!
