Heading north

Stopping off at Poole harbour this morning, I was hoping to spot a tern plunging into the water before heading home. Instead, pretty much as soon as I stepped out of the car, I saw these four Canada geese sticking their tongues out as they headed towards me from the distance.

I enjoyed watching diving terns a little later but given these guys were also heading north, I thought them a more appropriate blip.

Thank you for your lovely comments yesterday with my fox cub. It was a really special moment in a rather extraordinary day.
