Celebrating day

The day started by collecting my sister and aunt then on to mums - she is 79 today!!
Birthday cake and candles and many renditions of "happy birthday to you" which mum loved singing. Conversation still around her going to live with "Mary" (she couldn't tell us who this was) although she is happy living where she is now!

Whilst we were visiting my mum, our daughter was taking part in the "race for life" 5k muddy run (obstacle course through mud, together with water being thrown at them), as you can see she got pretty muddy but has managed to raise £125 for Cancer Research.

Back home from mums and a quick lunch, before setting off to my brother & sister-in-laws for a Bar-b-que birthday party. My nephew and his wife celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary on Thursday and next week sees their sons 3rd and 1st birthdays (a couple of days apart). I love family gatherings, especially with the next generation if little ones running around.
