Mid winter Xmas dinner

My daughters boyfriend hasn't celebrated a family Christmas for the past 4 years due to working overseas, so this long holiday weekend we decided to celebrate with a mid winter dinner.

For those on the other side of the world it probably sounds a little odd as you are heading into summer, Our normal summer Christmas consists of barbecues and salads not your traditional fare that we enjoyed last night.
