Magnolia Buds

The garden was an absolute delight this afternoon
After deferring garden time for all the other less pleasurable tasks that need doing this weekend, I finally made it outside at around 3pm.
The sky was grey and heavy, and the atmosphere had that lovely cool climate peace that I find so invigorating. I discovered that my salad greens were gorgeously green and robust and the radishes were ready to pull. And my magnolias are heavy with extravagant buds.
Seasonal gardening is one of the simple pleasures that give joy and rhythm to my life.
