Bonfire Under the Stars

Welcome to Winter! For the second straight day we awoke to a hard frost, crispy white ice covering every available surface. There are areas in the garden that have remained encrusted all day too.

With clear skies and no wind, Mrs H and I thought it would be a good opportunity to get the piles of garden cuttings in the top paddock lit, giving the double benefit of tidying the place and keeping us both warm.

With the sun long gone and the slither of moon set below Mt Bradley, the stars shone bright as I took this shot of Mrs H keeping watch on the bonfire.

Thanks again to all who commented on last night shot of our place under the stars. I've been lucky to have a fourth out of five spotlight appearance over the last few days thanks to all your lovely comments. It's very much appreciated :-)
