Royal Deeside

Taken on the drive home from a really lovely weekend at little Harris' Christening yesterday up in Banchory (back blipped). A bug bear of mine is how awful independent hotels can be. We didn't really have much choice re accommodation, and when we checked Trip Advisor the reviews were terrible but we thought it's only for one night. Awful service, bad beer pipes, clean but falling to bits room, no wi-fi, no remote for the TV and a shower head attached to the bath. Seriously! These hotels put our tourism industry to shame, and for that reason I find we get much better value (and service) staying in a chain in Scotland.
