Queensferry Crossing
The construction of the new Queensferry Crossing is now well and truly underway, and we now are starting to see the bridge itself take shape.
We are looking at the south side of the River, at the workshops and boatsheds of the Port Edgar marina. At the right, we see the southernmost caisson and the cranes being used to build it. A little left, the bridge itself, with its suspension supports and towers in place.
I have been hoping for a long time to take a picture that mimicked the photos of the partially completed Forth Rail bridge; this is what I hope will be the first of a few showing the progress of the new crossing's construction.
