Elizabeth castle

After meeting up with my fellow Spice travellers at Birmingham airport it was a quick 50 minute flight to Jersey and onto the hotel in St Helier. The bags were dropped and then we headed off to Elizabeth Castle on an amphibious bus, quite an experience, which was steeped in history. We were even treated to a mock firing of a cannon!
On the evening we were booked into a lovely local restaurant and dined in style before hitting the hotel bar for the last couple of hours.
All in all a good start to the holiday. :-)
