Volunteers' Week and Winchester Branch

Volunteers' Week, the annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK is just about to start, so I was delighted to spend Friday evening in Winchester with the wonderful Winchester Branch members led by Daphne Marlowe-they've been fundraising for 37 years and raised well over £400,000!
They were delighted to hear about the progress we're making for blood cancer patients and I was so touched to hear their own stories, patient experiences, fundraising stories, so many different stories so much passion and determination for beating blood cancers. It was wonderful to be able to say a huge thank you for their time, their dedication and their outstanding commitment for 37 years!
