Hedge trimming!

Archie had a walk round the block this morning with JR - I was too busy watching the tennis. But then I had a flurry of activity…

Several people in our street have been out with their hedge trimmers. My hedge trimmer at the moment is a handyman, but at £40 a pop (three times a year) I decided that I could do it myself instead. I was inspired by an elderly lady nearby who has a humungous corner hedge. And so I popped off to Homebase, bought the hedge trimmer (£24.99) and set to. One half of the hedge is done - no bother.

Watched more tennis this afternoon, then fired up the BBQ again. It’s a brilliant wee one. But Archie does get rather too interested in it. So I made him sit on the door mat again and stay. He did really well. I had to get up a few times when he made a dash for it, but he’ll learn. This way he can still see what’s going on, but not be a nuisance around people’s feet.

I am trying to train him not to pull out his bed, grab the tea towels, or chew the door mat. He is so funny - He just cannot resist the tea towel hanging on the oven door. I must try to get a photo of this - I just need to sit and wait with the camera at the ready.

I have just realised from this photo how much he’s grown. His wee face barely reached up to my knee a few weeks ago!
