Close to the edge
DDW's June 2014 At The Movies Challenge Day 1 - Vertigo
Last day of holiday so we spent it together. Me & The Wife just walking and stuff and nonsense.
Went for a really long walk from Birsay to the east, lots of rocky outcrops, caves and cliffs. The dogs loved it, even though they had to behave and walk to heel past some of the narrower bits...and especially around this geo at Whilaloo Point called the Long Gloup. The footpath suddenly drops 75ft and this big sea crevice runs inland about 1/4 kilometer. It's a long way round and very steep and crumbling in places. Today the sea below was exceedingly calm and crystal clear - Showing just how deep the water was.
I don't like heights that much but I would love some climbing equipment or a kayak to go exploring all the caves and crevices.
