Live it loud!

Interloper!

I went out for a walk with the dog earlier with the express intention of getting a shot like this. No idea why or even how I was going to do it or where, but, knowing the wheat is getting to a decent height I thought there was a good chance of something along these lines.
I like it lots, but I've no idea if its any good?
I expect it's only of interest to those of us who live out in or near the countryside and walk by the fields regularly. The wheat filling out and the cow-parsley growing unwanted amongst the crop.

Not sure where the rest of the day went to. Nowhere near as busy as yesterday. I did however buy two deck chairs. Not having a deck and being as far from the sea in the Uk as it is possible to get, it seems perverse. However, having got rid of the old garden chairs a couple of years ago, we wanted something thats quick and easy to get out for a ten minute rest in the late evening sun. I scouted the inter web first thing and found a national DIY chain that not only sold them but had some in stock just a couple of miles from here. So, the days adventure begins.

A good look around the store indicated that all was not well and not what was intended. The staff seemed completely unaware that they sold them. More detailed checking of the national stock showed that they didn't have a single one of the ones that their website said they had available at that store - in fact, there were none, anywhere in the UK. Thanks!

So, I went of to complete my other task for the day - get bread for lunch (cos I forgot to put the bread maker on last night - excusable surely considering how busy the day had been). So the local "Every Little Helps" store it was. And, hey presto, what did they have just inside the doors? Yup - a pile of deck chairs.

Two purchased after a little discussion with the checkout assistant on how on earth we get the barcode sticker anywhere close to the barcode reader, but, with a little re-arrangement of the till hardware, we managed it. Back home and an hours idle time sat on the lawn in our new purchases. Indeed, every little helps.
