Obviously!

We came down to Ambleside yesterday to spend a few days with a group of friends. Since it was a lovely warm day we decided to take a steamer ride on Ullswater Lake. It was here that Donald Campbell broke the world speed record on 23rd July 1955, in the jet powered Bluebird K7.

It was a lovely boat trip on a lake created by the meltwaters of a retreating glacier, surrounded by beautiful hills. We saw this sign when we disembarked at Pooley Bridge pier house.
