Cage fighter....

Throughout all my time on Blip this has to be one of the funniest shots I've taken. Granted 99.9% have been total rubbish but this one of Fred the Tortoise at lunch did make me chuckle. I had collapsed in the back garden immediately after a long baking hot run and when one of us are out there Fred generally does go a little loopy as he fights with the cage to get out. Today however the old boy took it to a new level, literally, as before my very eyes he turned 90 degrees and squeezed himself (with shell..) down the side of the cage and his wooden house. I thought he was stuck but then he flipped himself round and starting climbing up the metal like he was a monkey. He then held that pose for at least 2 minutes. The reptile is truly bonkers but fair play to him for having a go. Initiative, bravery and flexibility were all part of his break out strategy though one thing he forgot... the cage has a roof.
