Roome Bay Panorama - Crail, Fife

We headed up to Crail for New Year to spend some peaceful time at our cottage and catch up with friends and relatives. We've had our little cottage there since 1992, although it dates back to the late 1700's when it was originally built to house weavers at the local mill.

When we are there, a favourite walk is across the road to the stepped path beside the doo'cot and down to Roome Bay, a lovely rocky cove where the kids love to rock pool and paddle. No paddling today, though unless you fancy having your limbs frozen stiff.

What I love is the horizon - the open expanse of water and the view over to the May Island which can seem near or far depending on the light. Sorry I've ruined the flat line of the horizon by photostitching, but it seemed the only way to show the extent of the view. I've used 4 photos and the little package which cam with my Canon camera.
