Lime Kilns in Charleston

Discovered these lime kilns and man made tunnels in Charleston in Fife. These used to be a hub of activity and blaze years ago when lime stone was burned continuously to extract the lime. Today they are unused and left. We went to the 11am service in Dunfermline Abbey and explored the city, park and the Carnegie birthplace and museum. Excellent historic day. Nice weather too.
