warning: snake alert!

I do not like snakes really, but my husband does. He grew up summers in Canada finding them . . . eeeewwww! If they surprise me I typically scream and run the the other way! But I saw this harmless black rat snake oops! black southern racer -steven corrected me as I do NOT know snakes very well!

I saw the snake from inside, looking out the kitchen window at the dock. I thought, Steven likes snakes . . . I could use my long lens and photograph it without getting too close. So that's what I did. Steven was pleased to see the photos! I only got a little scared : )
