Pond Watch 2

This afternoon there were four blue dragonflies flying over the surface of the pond, moving so quickly it was impossible to catch them on camera. However, they eventually settled on the plants, and I was able to take plenty of photos!
But this is a Large Red Damselfly - according to my information from the British Dragonfly Society - on one of our first water lillies.
They become active in the sunlight, but when the sun disappears, they do too!
I think we will have to have a new garden seat near the pond, as I can see that I will be spending more time near there in future!
