Baby Blanket

I have a story to tell you.

When my father was born in 1916 my grandfather presented his wife with this baby blanket. When my son was born (Electric Glass) my mother presented this blanket to me. Maybe some day I may be able to do the same for my son. For now, it smells of cedar and mothballs.

I once called the Pendleton Woolen Mills and spoke to their Director of Marketing. I had to talk to him for at least 20 minutes before he started believing that I actually had a 1916 Pendleton Woolen Mills baby blanket. Maybe some day I will take to their corporate headquarters and properly identify it.
