Shearing
Lunch today was a roast, eaten outside on the front porch of Langdon Robs old home with the view of Beaminster and surrounding countryside in front.
When we got there the Jacob sheep were being shorn not quite the same as NZ ! This was out in the open, one at a time on a sheet of ply and a portable machine. The wool as it came off was rolled up on another sheet of ply and then put into a large sack which was hanging along a fence.
Visited Mum on the way back to Weymouth, she was about the same.
