Searching for shade!

16 deg C in the back garden today so Ollie sought shade under the artichoke! It is growing like a thing possessed and is covered with buds. We were given a small piece a couple of years ago and I planted it where there used to be an old path, very poor soil, damp, heavy and full of stones. I don't feed it or give it any attention at all other than pull off ragged and tatty looking leaves and yet it is obviously thriving.

Shall have to look out more ways of cooking them, looks like we're going to have a bit of a glut!
