Esme had been going on for ages about going to the Electroswing night, and I was very jealous that Gina and her were going out and leaving me with Miles whilst they listened to Flap and the Woo Hoo Revue, two awesome live bands.

Well, it just so happened that they'd squirreled away a ticket for me too (to a sold out event), and Esme had organised a babysitter!! I was over the moon.

I returned from work, put Miles to bed, and promptly shaved off my beard, leaving only the pencil 'tache you can see here. I also adopted the dreaded side-parting comb-over, and donned my most 1920s-esque attire and I was ready to go (with the two Flapper Girls looking amazing!).

It was a great night actually - loads of great costumes and the bands were predictably fantastic. There was a bit of an odd choice of DJ afterwards, but I guess you can't have it all!
