Remembering school days

Sue's elder sister Judy lives in California's central valley and works in community gardens with children who live in densely-settled areas and would not learn about gardening without this venture. Food grown by the children and volunteers is used to feed those who would otherwise go hungry. We took several walks with Judy, and on this walk through the school where the community garden is located, Sue remembered a sour and daunting teacher in the school she and her seven siblings attended. "And then I came around the corner and ran right into her! Blam! My face right in the middle of her chest."
