Maleficent
Spent an extra hour in bed this morning because of a sinus attack. As I can't get into our bedroom I had to get into Al's!
The painting boss came round today. He agreed that the paintwork is not good enough either and they will re do that. He is also going to pay for the wallpaper that we've had to buy to replace the stuff that had to be taken down as it wasn't hung right. A three day job now going into it's second week and we are sleeping in a sofa bed in the office. Our bedroom furniture is spread all over the house and it's annoying. I am well aware what a princess I sound here by the way.
My brother Jeremy came over for lunch. We took Charlie for a walk, then he and Al and I went to the cinema to see Maleficent. Betsy had to go to a drama rehearsal. We met Keith and Tony at the cinema. I loved the film, I thought it was great. It was a clever story but simple (I get so fed up of these over convoluted kids films that seem to have arisen from a creative meeting where 25 people submitted ideas that all got included somehow). Angelina Jolie was fantastic and I thought it was funny and sweet and clever.
Afterwards we went to Pizza Express. In there I saw a woman I used to share a house with, 20 years ago. I didn't say hello. She was the living definition of the Bridget Jones term 'Frenemy'. I often say to the children, 'hang around with people who make you feel good, and avoid people who make you feel bad', but it's easier said and done. She was a reminder that I hadn't learned that lesson even in my mid-twenties.
