The Air Show

I was silly enough at Surfest this year to think that the Air Show was going to be an aerobatic display by an aircraft along the beach to entertain the crowds. In fact it was a competition for the surfer who got the most air from a wave. This chap really did get some air and did a complete 360 or perhaps even a 540. In any event, all I could think of was .... he flies through the air with the greatest of ease that daring young man .... He would lose points for the landing, or splash as it was. The water was cold I heard but the surfers at the Cowrie Hole were compensating by paddling faster. There was also definitely a cold nip in the air today.
