Day8 -Harris- Liceasto
The glass of wine last night did not materialise in the end. The weather closed in and the midges, the first we have encountered, came out to play.
Instead we grappled with the yurt's wood burning stove and read the papers revelling in the ability to stand upright after a week of crawling about in the tent.
Today we are having lunch in Tarbert with friends who retired from life in Edinburgh several years ago to live in a family croft at Rhenigidale.
We are agog to find out what life is like at the end of a single track road at what our friend calls the 'back of the back of beyond'.
This is the view over Loch Stocanais from our bed in the yurt.
