JEWEL

Thank goodness for the proximity of the RSPB reserve and its peace and quiet or I might turn into a very sweary, killy sort of person!

And I think I saw a bittern from one of the hides, but I had to leave to come home before it appeared again from the reeds where it was lurking on the other side of a pool. I think they've had a bittern at the reserve before, but it would be a real treat to see it. I've only ever seen one once, as far as I know, flying across a broad in Norfolk.

Singing in a concert tonight - this is our favourite annual gig because the hosts provide excellent homemade cakes during the interval, and the choir get the first choice!
